Great reception made us feel welcome. Room compact and bathroom with shower was cleaned daily. Breakfast continental style included in price . Lift worked Ok. Close to trains RER and Metro. Cafes and bakery, chemist all nearby.
The Hotel Manager (Carlos et jenio) was very helpful and kind. We stayed there around 3 4 days, it was great staying with them. Thank you Carlos et jenio and Altona's Staff. See you soon.
This was a great little place with a genuine 24 hour desk in a great location generally but especially for Gare du Nord. With our disabled daughter you can get disability rooms. We didn't ask as we did it quite late and we're only there for 12 hours overnight. It has a working lift too which was good and they have a ramp for the step up which they happily brought out for us.Room easily fit the three of us. Had complimentary water, tea, coffee and biscuits and a kettle.Ceiling was gorgeous. I should have taken a photo but forget (sorry).Lovely little restaurant at the top of the street (Le Barbes) which is nice food at decent price and just 30 seconds from the hotel. I've done a review of the restaurant separately.Only drawback was alot of noise from a bar or club opposite. Maybe it was because we were there on a Saturday night, but you may want to check and ask for a room at the back (we were right at the front).Otherwise great place and would go back
Lovely hotel, well worth the good value price. The older male receptionist was very helpful and friendly and welcomed us by taking our bags to our room.
I love this hotel for so many things, the rooms are nice, the bathrooms too, and it’s incredible for what you’re paying for. But what I love about it the most is the people that work at the front desk, they speak spanish too, and they are very eager to help you with everything you need. The location is great, right by the subway station, right below Montmatre and Sacré Coeur, and there’s many bakeries and grocery stores in close range. I highly recommend this hotel, especially in this price range.
Pretty good location, nice and quiet at night. Staff is polite, rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day. There are some wear and tear, and the floor (in our room, at least) was tilted pretty noticeable from the bed and towards the bathroom, where the walls are leaning inwards (due to the construction of the outside walls). Not a problem for us, but being drunk might prove to be challenging 😅
We stayed here for two nights. The hotel staff on reception were lovely - extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect for us - clean, nice modern bathrooms and good facilities. Excellent location, close to Gard Du Nord and other Metro stations - it was so easy to get round Paris. Good places nearby for breakfast. Highly recommended.
For how dated it is, it’s perfect and cheap for what you need, somewhere to put your things down and enjoy the city. If you’re looking for a 5star stay this isn’t it, but if you are looking to explore all day and not pay a fortune for a city hotel this is it. Beds look old but we’re actually comfy. Good showers with hot water and good pressure. Front staff was very nice, spoke little English but gave us some good spots for drinks and food that weren’t tourist traps.
A wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff are super friendly and the room and bathroom was clean. The only issue for me was that the walls are pretty thin so you hear the other guests but for a short stay it really isn't an issue. Will definitely stay again!
I’m allergic to dust, I needed to wear a mask while I was sleeping, so I would say it could be cleaner. However, my stay was quite satisfying. The hotel was relatively reasonable, so if you’re planning budget trip, I’d recommend this place. The bath room was clean, there was a hair dryer, amenities (soap and all in one shampoo),and kettle.Plus the location was good, there are three stations as far as I noticed, supermarkets and bakery. One of the stations has a direct connection from CDG airport.I can tell the hotel was decent. And staffs were nice.
Really nice place with kind and helpful staff! We had a last-minute booking and they were super chill about it. Clean rooms with really pretty ceilings, and they had fans for the summer heat. Overall a nice experience 🙂
The front desk and house keeping are very nice. It was a good price and I extended my stay.I like Paris and would stay again at Hotel Altona.Thank you very much.

Kinda close to the Gare du Nord train station(where you can even catch a train to the airport). The area around the hotel is no the best good looking but not a biggie. The staff people is gentle and they speak English, Spanish and, of course, French :). ForgotTo take pictures but the room was normal. Clean towels and beds . Not air conditioning 😅
Très bon accueil, l'hôtel est dans une rue calme, bien situé proche de la gare. Il est vieillot, mais propre. Je recommande pour une ou deux nuits, bon hotel.
A nice place to stay in Paris for a few nights. The location is good: you can easily get to the subway in a few minutes. The staff is kind and obliging. I recommend you
